Emily was the daughter of Emily (Scheyer) and Walter Adams of Montreal, Canada. She was married to Fred Sparrow but he died in Canada before 1920. As a young widow, she came to America in April 1920. On September 23, 1920 she married a widower with six children : Albert Friedrich Belling. Together they had three more children: Burton Emil, and twins Walter Oran and Wallace Carl.

MRS. ALBERT BELLING
Mrs. Albert Belling, 51, a resident of Appleton until a year ago, died at her home at 250 Third street, Neenah, at 6 o'clock Sunday morning after a long illness.
Survivors are the husband; her mother, Mrs. Walter Adams, Canada; three step-daughters, Mrs. Phil Schaefer and Mrs. Vito Cozzi, Milwaukee, and Miss Hazel Belling, Neenah; three sons, Burton and Wallace, Neenah, and Corporal Walter Belling, Camp Gordon, Fla.; three step-sons, Elmer, Appleton, Wilbert, Elmont, Calif., and Private Richard, Australia; three brothers and one sister in Canada.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Zion Lutheran church with Rev. W.H. Gammelin in charge. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery. The body may be viewed at the Wichmann Funeral home until 10 o'clock Tuesday morning when it will be taken to the church.
