Benjamin Featherolf is the s/o Philip Federolf & Catherina Lesher who are buried in the Old Lutheran Cemetery, Adelphia, Colerain Twp, Ross Co., OH. Benjamin was b in Berks Co., PA on Oct. 20, 1787 and d Mar. 22, 1863 in Perry Twp., Hocking Co., OH. Benjamin md Hannah Fink abt. 1810 pbl. Berks Co., PA. d/o Johannes 'John' Fink & Elizabeth Neudorf. He served in the War of 1812 from Maiden Creek, Berks Co., PA. His war records did not follow him to Ohio. Consequently, there was never a War of 1812 emblem/flag on his grave which is in Mount Olive Cemetery, Hartsough Road, South Perry, Perry Twp., Hocking Co., OH. On Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 30, 1998, Homer Edman Beavers. g-g-g-grandson of Benjamin, placed an emblem/flag on his grave.

Benjamin & Hannah arrived in Perry Twp., Fairfield (now Hocking) Co., OH prior to 1820. They eventually had 11 children: Benewell, Mary, Anna, Rebecca, William, Samuel, David, Susan, Elizabeth, Peter, & Isaac.

The 1839 Tax Index for Salt Creek Twp., Hocking Co., OH, lists Benjamin as a sawmill owner.
