Mrs. Florence Newberry, 77, of 117 Webber St., widow of Daniel 0. Newberry, died Tuesday after being stricken at her home. She had been ill about two years. Born in Kalamo, she was a lifelong area resident. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Russell (Maxine) Palmer. Mrs. Hugh (Ardis) Morrison and Mrs. Richard (Joan) Evans, all of Battle Creek, Mrs. Lynwood (Mildred) Angus and Mrs. Louis (Norma) Roach of Assyria Township and Mrs. Russell (Jessie) White of Battle Creek Township; sons, Maurice, Junior and Rex Newberry, all of Assyria Township and sisters, Mrs. Doris Allen of Union City and Mrs. John (Dorothy) Allison of Marshall.
