Jessie Pearl (Newberry) White, 76, of 4050 Beckely Road, Battle Creek, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 1991, in Battle Creek Health System/Leila Site. She was born May 29, 1915 in Galesburg, the daughter of Daniel and Florence Newberry, and came to Battle Creek with her family in 1919. She graduated from Lakeview High School in 1934. Mrs. White worked 38 years in the carton and container division of Post Division/Kraft General Foods. She was a member of the Post Cereal 25-Year Club, Birchwood United Methodist Church and was an active member of the AGAPE Circle of the church. She was very involved in church, family and crafts. She married Russell A. White on March 5, 1937. They celebrated their 54th Jessie P. anniversary this White year. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Maxine S. Palmer and Ardis F. Morrison; and a brother, Maurice D. Newberry. Surviving are her husband; sisters, Mildred M. Angus, Norma J. Wichterman and Joan R. Evans, all of Bellevue; brothers, Junior W. New-berry and Rex D. Newberry, of Bellevue. Visitation: Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 4 p.m. Thurs-day at Shaw-Estes Funeral Home. Services: 1:30 p.m. Friday at Birch-wood United Methodist Church, Pastor Phillip J. Friedrick officiating. Burial: Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials: Birchwood United Methodist Church.
