Richard Dale Painter Jr., 52, of Fredericksburg, and formerly of Luray, died on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.
He was born on Aug. 6, 1954, in Luray and was a son of the late Richard Dale and Ollie Louise Shuler Painter.
Mr. Painter was a farmer. He is survived by a sister, Peggy Ann Sanders of Stafford.
A funeral service was conducted on Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Bradley Funeral Home by Evangelist Earl E. Painter.
A private burial was held at the Newport Christian Cemetery in Shenandoah.
