Jared Robert Bruner, 66, of Elberfeld, IN entered rest on February 22, 2010 at his home. He was born on August 8, 1943 in Oakland City, IN to Robert and Ruby (Caniff) Bruner.

He had worked at Zenith, Jasper Wood Products, and Thermwood at Dale, IN. He was a life member of American Legion Post # 256 and V.F.W. Post # 3587 and member of Oakland City Eagles Aerie Lodge # 4288. He was preceded in death by parents.

Surviving family members include his daughter, Darcy (Steve) Clark of Grayville, IN; his son, Robert Bruner of Lexington, KY; two grandchildren and his brother, Mark (Sue) Bruner of Chattanooga, Tenn.

Funeral services will be Monday March 1, 2010 10:00 A.M. at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel in Oakland City, IN.

Burial services will be at Montgomery Cemetery with Rev. Scott Farmer officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Sunday and from 8:00 A.M. until services on Monday.
