Forrest Cread Stansell, Sr., 82, of Route #2, Box 85, Hindsville, Arkansas, died May 31, 1999 at his home. He was born April 24, 1917 at Wharton, Arkansas, the son of Jesse Newton and Nancy Palestine Bolinger Stansell. He was a retired superintendent for McClinton-Anchor, Inc. and was a member of the Colbaugh Community Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, one sister and one grandson.
Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Pauline Baxter Stansell of the home; three sons, Forrest Stansell, Jr. of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Johnny Stansell of Fayetteville; and Harvey Stansell of Ponca City, Oklahoma; one daughter, Mrs. Carol Jacoway of Springdale; one brother, Dee Stansell of Nortonville, Kansas; five grandsons, Cody Joyner and Jerry Hamon, both of Fayetteville, Ricky Ritchie of Combs, Shelby Stansell of Tahlequah, Oklahoma and Brian Stansell of Austin, Texas; three granddaughters, Mrs. Lesly Webb of Sonora, Mrs. Tracy Easterling of Huntsville and Ms. Joy Jacoway of Daytona Beach, Florida; one great-grandson, Petyon Webb of Sonora and two great-granddaughters, Miss Madyson Stansell of Tahlequah, Oklahoma and Sarah Hamon of Fayetteville.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 3, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Dean Morris officiating. Interment was in the Huntsville Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Gene Gardner, Jim Vaughan, Randy Riley, Darren Whelchel, Ray Glen Bowman and Tom Dotson.
Honorary pallbearers were David McClinton, Clark McClinton, Jim Allen, Vernon Bowman, Ruben Bowman and Everett Morris.
