She was born on June 4, 1910, in Shenandoah and was a daughter of the late Jacob and Mary Short Walters.
Mrs. Knickman was a homemaker and was the oldest member of the Antioch Independent Bible Church.
Her husband, Carroll Edward Knickman, died on March 3, 1999.
She is survived by two daughters, Pearl Mae Harr and Esther Naomi Buracker, both of Luray; two sons, William Robert Alger Jr. of Stanley and Cecil Virgil Alger of Luray; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and six great-
great-grandchildren.
Burial in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Luray.
