Lela was a twin. Her twin brother was named Leland Edward Miller. Leland was my grandfather and I was told that at birth Lela weighed approx 8 pounds and Leland weighed 2 pounds. He was put in a small box and placed near the wood stove to keep him warm. He was expected to die shortly. But he survived.
Leland later changed his name to Harold Edward Mathews. He died November 25, 1968 in Sacramento CA. He is entombed at the Sacramento Memorial Lawn under the name of Harold Mathews.
