Troy K Yeates "TK" MAGNA- Troy Kendall Yeates, 88, returned home to his Heavenly Father and beloved wife, Ruth on February 17, 2010. He was born February 22, 1921 to Leo Thomas and Melba Shaw Yeates in Hyrum, Utah.

Troy married Ruth Paul March 28, 1942; their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in June of 1959.

He was a veteran of World War II, and retired from Kennecott Copper after 40 years of service.

Troy was a faithful member of the LDS church, where he served in many callings and was a stalwart home teacher. He was a devoted, loving husband; caring for his wife, Ruth during her many years of illness. Sunday dinners will never be the same.

Survived by two sons, Bruce (Pam) and Jerry (Michele); six grandchildren and their spouses; 22 great grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara (Skip) Johnson and Ruth (Ralph) Godfrey; and brother, Fred (Linda) Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth; grandson, Todd; three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon Monday, February 22, 2010, his 89th birthday, at the Pleasant Green Chapel, 8739 W. 3000 S. Friends and family may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S., and Monday 11-11:45 a.m. at the church.
