Estelle was born June 25, 1933 in Vivian, LA. She lived in Vivian, LA, El Dorado, AR, Devine, TX, Oil City and Gilliam, LA. She was a member of Linda Lay Baptist Church, Sunday school teacher and deacon's wife. She was a Certified Dietary Manager and Dietary Director at North Caddo Medical Center for 19 years. Former manager of the Jeems Bayou Hunting & Fishing Club. She was a past Worthy Matron at the Vesper Chapter, Order of Eastern Star. Former member of the Sorosis Club, a professional women's organization. She sang with the "Country Bumpkins" at church. She was an artist and loved family and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her precious son, Jerry Wayne Dupree; husbands Buddy Dupree, Harvey Holemon and Marion "Pee Wee" Adcock; her parents Carlos Dempsey and Velma Patterson Dempsey; sisters and brothers Azelle, Bobby, Roger, Gus and Pat Dempsey, Fay McIntosh and Lucille Todd.
Honoring Estelle as pallbearers will be her nephews Robert Dempsey, Doyle Dempsey, Jr, Johnny Dempsey, Gary Howell, Chris Colbey and Steve McLaurin. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Trey Lucas, Bill Middleton and Buddy Woodall.
A special thank you goes to her caregivers for the last six weeks, Peggy Dempsey, Lola Stevens, Cathy Little, Barbara LeCroy. The family also wishes to extent a special thank you to Kathy Rushford of Amedisys Home Health Care Services for her care and compassion.
