Funeral services celebrating the life of Marion Arthur “Pee Wee” Adcock, age 87 will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 27, 2017 at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, 8239 Mt. Gilead Road, Vivian, LA. Officiating the services will be Rev. Bill Treadway, pastor of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, assisted by Rev. Eddie Kent, pastor of Linda Lay Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Gilead Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation on Thursday, October 26th from 5-7 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 705 S. Spruce Street, Vivian, LA.

Pee Wee was born in Mira, LA on April 13, 1930 to Marion Arthur and Rosie Lee Adcock and passed away on October 24, 2017 at North Caddo Medical Center, Vivian, LA. He worked for Bayou State Refinery in Hosston, LA for 50 years. Pee Wee was a faithful member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church for 55 years where he served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher.

Pee Wee is preceded in death by his parents, the mother of his children, Chris, his second wife, Nell and his siblings, Wilburn, Frank, Clyde, Emmet and Winnie Mae Webb. Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 10 years, Estelle Dempsey of Gilliam, LA; son, Arthur Adcock and wife, Jerry of Atlanta, TX; daughter, Cindy Adcock of Shreveport, LA; grandsons, Dr. Chad Adcock and wife, Kristy of Flint, TX and Brian Adcock and wife, Megan of Atlanta, TX. Pee Wee is also survived by his great grandchildren, Grant, Cayden, Kynleigh, Bryce, Emersyn and Kyree; sisters, Annie Belle Denison and Lou Snell and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Honoring Pee Wee has pallbearers will be Dr. Chad Adcock, Brian Adcock. Jimmy Dempsey, Butch Blizzard, Kenneth Adcock and Gary Festervan. Honorary pallbearers will be Pat Dempsey, Doyle Dempsey and Joey Adcock.

The family suggest that memorials be made to Mt Gilead Baptist Church Building Fund or Cemetery Fund in c/o: Marsha Braudaway, 606 N. Walnut St. Vivian, LA.
