GEORGE MACKLIN DIES FROM HEART SPELL YESTERDAY
Victim Was a Prominent Farmer in Middletown and the Father of Captain Macklin

George W. Macklin well known farmer of the Middletown district, died suddenly yesterday at 10:30 am at his home from a heart attack. He was the father of Earl Macklin, captain of patrol, employed by the State Fish and Game, former warden in Mendocino county, now stationed in southern california.
Coroner Dr. L.J. Calahan was summoned to Middletown yesterday afternoon and held an inquiry. Death was found to have resulted from natural causes.
The deceased was a native of Ohio and was aged 73 years, 10 months, and 16 days. For the past 28 years he had resided in Lake County and was highly regarded by numerous friends throughout the county.
Besides his wife, two sons, and a daughter survives, as follows. Earl Macklin, employed by the state, Robert Macklin engaged in mining at Alleghany and Miss Kathern Macklin, a teacher in the Ukiah grammer school.
Deep sympathy is extended to the grieved family by numerous friends, interment will be in the Middletown Cemetery.
