Services for Cecil Clifton Childress, 76, formerly of Trigg County, will be at 10:30 am Tuesday at Goodwin Funeral Home with the Rev. John C Brinson officiating and burial in Dyer-Brandon Cemetery.
Mr. Childress died Saturday in a nursing home in Dawson Springs.
He was born June 25, 1898, son of Thomas Edward and Virginia Brandon Childress. Mr. Childress was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church in Trigg County.
Survivors include two sons, Robert of Calumet City, Ill., and Woodrow Childress, Tucson, Ariz., two daughters, Mrs. Flora Pool and Miss Edna Mae Childress, both of Hopkinsville; a brother Richman Childress, Henderson; a half brother, Arthur Childress, Caldwell County; a half sister, Mrs. Tula Rakeshaw, Webster County; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
