SHREVEPORT -- William "Jack" Durham, 83, of Shreveport, died February 17, 1996 at Shreveport.

He was born at Pine Bluff. He had worked as a finish carpenter for various construction companies. He was a 50-year member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America and a member of Carpenters Local 764 at Shreveport.

He served in the Army during World War II.

He was a Methodist.

He was the widower of Edith Durham.

Survivors include a daughter, Jacqueline Sue Greensage of The Colony, Texas; three sisters, Adeline Durham of Shreveport, Mary Lohr of Saratoga, California, and Ann McCreary of Santa Fe, New Mexico; a brother, Robert Durham of Pine Bluff; and a grandchild.

Graveside services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at Graceland Cemetery at Pine Bluff of Rose-Neath Funeral Home at Shreveport.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
