The Yager family came to America in 1717 from Germany and settled in Virginia, later going to Ohio, then to Jasper County, Iowa. Their final stop was in 1876 in Viola Township, Audubon, County

After 100 years 1876-1976- Albert Thomas Yeager's descendents have lived continuously in Viola Township until today. The seventh generation is living there now.
