Funeral in Large Number and Help to Lay Away Admired Friend

William C. Yager was born in Centerville, Ohio, April 4th, 1848. Later the family moved to Abington, Jefferson county, Iowa. They were also residents in Jasper county. September 20, 1873, he married Miss Margaret Booton. In 1876 they moved to Audubon county, where they resided until 1918 when they retired from the farm and took up their residence in Coon Rapids. But April 30th, 1924 death claimed Mr. Yager and he has departed. He left a testimony that he was ready to meet God, because of the sacrificial work of Jesus Christ on the cross.

Mr. and Mrs. Yager had one son born to them. Fred, of Audubon county, who very faithfully helped care for his father and was at the bedside when he passed away. The wife of the deceased, Fred and wife, four grandchildren and one great grandson survive, together with three brothers and three sisters, namely: J.E. of Palisades, Colorado; John deceased; Mary Hatfield of Spirit Lake, Iowa; Sarah Grady of Harris, Ella Weaver of Ralston; J.F. of Milford; and C.A. of Coon Rapids, with a large number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
