LORENE M. CONRAD, 88, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, at her home. Born in Fort Wayne, she was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and a 50 year member of the Circle Center Home Economics Club. She enjoyed her family, times at Coldwater Lake, quilting, crocheting, and all sorts of hand work. She is survived by her children, Alan D. (Char) Conrad of Columbia City, Barbara J. (Albert) Alexander of Harrodsburg, Ky. and Kathy C. (Claude) Brewton of Goshen; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; brother, Arthur E. (Bonnie) Bacon of Coldwater Lake, Mich.; sisters, Emily C. Bacon of Fort Wayne and Elaine (Earnie) Pfeiffer of Huyck Lake, Mich.; daughter-in-law, Martha Conrad of Waterloo; and sisters-in-law, Ruth Thomsen of Emporia, Kan. and Dorothy Bacon of Decatur. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Ralph C.; son, Donald L.; brother, Samuel A. Bacon; and sister, Geraldine Lichtsinn. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Monday at Messiah Lutheran Church, 7211 Stellhorn Road, with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Paul Offhaus officiating.
