Harvey Biggs, 75, who for the past 44 years has been engaged in farming in the Gallatin valley, died Sunday night, August 14, at his farm home 25 miles north of Bozeman. Funeral services will be held at the Dokken chapel Thursday afternoon at 1:30, and burial will be in the East Gallatin Cemetery.Mr. Biggs was born in Illinois, December 14, 1856, and he was married in October 1882, at Rich Hill, Missouri, to Miss Frances Garity, who survives him. The came to Montana 47 years ago and lived for a few years at Salesville, now Gallatin Gateway. About 44 years ago, Mr. Biggs homesteaded on the ranch north of Bozeman, where he and his wife have since made their home and reared their family.Besides his wife, Mr. Biggs is survived by eleven children: Mrs. Clara Pitts of Helena; Hugh Biggs and Andrew Biggs of Belgrade; Mrs. Mary Hill of Ronan; Moses Biggs of Townsend; Charles and Lewis Biggs and Mrs. Frances Hecox of Belgrade; Miss Georgia Biggs of Los Angeles, California; Ralph Biggs of Belgrade and Mrs. Ruth Johnson of Long Beach.
