Son of Joseph Fleming and Ann Frances (nee Smith) Prevatt. Even though his marker indicates he was born 22 Jun 1885, he was actually born 22 Jun 1874. (He could not have married someone at age 9.) The US 1880 Federal Census as well as the 1885 Florida State Census has his correct date of birth as being 1874.

Hampton Porter Prevatt married Willie I. Harris 2 Sep 1894 in Levy County, Florida. Out of this union came Allie Lee Prevatt Lindsey.

There is no record of Willie I. Harris Prevatt after 1906. Hampton Porter Prevatt married Sadie Harrod on 15 Apr 1907 in Alachua County, Florida. A son, Hampton Nyal Prevatt ("Parramore," an adoptive surname) was born of this union.
