Bowen, Henry, ca. 1841, Forsyth, N.C. Possibly Henry R. Bowen, Private, Co. K, 52nd North Carolina Infantry, CSA. After being captured and sent to Pt. Lookout, Maryland, took the oath of allegiance and enlisted as a private in Co. D, 1st United States Volunteers ("Galvanized Confederates"). D. Dec 14, 1864 (chronic diarrhea). Remains removed from Ft. Rice Cemetery and reburied in this cemetery, 3/6/1905.
