Samuel Earnest Coffman, 71, died Monday at the Medical Center Hospital.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel in Athens with Charles Hammond and Doug Page officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jewel Moore Coffman; four daughters, Mrs. Mavis Wilson of Alex, LA, Mrs. Mabel Jones of Seoul, Korea, Mrs. Barbara Whitt of Dayton, TN, and Mrs. Linda Peterson of Louisiana; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Shelby Shaneyfelt of New Hope; four sons, Thomas Coffman, Milton Coffman and Louie Coffman, all of Alex, LA, and Earnest W. Coffman of Hazel Green; two brothers, Cleo Coffman and Dave Coffman, both of Athens; 27 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
