Mother of A. J. (Andrew Jackson) Anderson buried here in 1866 as memorial #48117313. Jane, maiden name unknown, was born in either Tennessee or maybe South Carolina. She was married by 1830 to Absolom Anderson in McNairy Co., Tennessee and came to Williamson County, Texas by February of 1852 when he bought land there. He donated an acre for this cemetery. He and Jane's son, John M. Anderson, died in a Confederate medical depot in April 1863 in Columbus, Texas. Jane died about the same time, and her oldest son, Jefferson Monroe Anderson, was furloughed or discharged at that time and came home from Louisiana, to Georgetown, Texas. Jane's husband, Absolom, eventually remarried and died in 1886. His burial place is unknown.
