Married first to Alexander P Roberts about 1860 and they had one son, John A. Roberts (1860-1863), also buried at McCord Cemetery. A.P. served in the 4th MS Infantry Regiment Co B, CSA, along with Elvira's brother, James Franklin Peeler. He fought and was surrendered at Fort Donelson, TN in Feb. 1862. He died on April 26, 1862 while a Union prisoner and was buried in Indiana.
