More census research, as pointed out by FaG member Vivian Pharr Riddick, reveals the family living in the Buford Township in 1900(there was no town called Buford in Union County, this is added for clarification as this often seems a source of confusion), with "widowed" as her marital status and the month and year of her birth as Feb 1858 in South Carolina (same state for birth of her parents). She reveals that she has had 11 children with 6 living in 1900. From Vivian: [with] son Robert Allen age 21 born August 1878 in South Carolina, son William Allen age 13 born December 1886 in North Carolina, son Charlie Allen age 11 born November 1888 in North Carolina, daughter Alice Allen age 10 born July 1889, son Samuel Allen age 9 born October 1890 and son Frank Allen age 3 born June 1896 in North Carolina.
