DUMAS - William B. Bray, 92, died Friday, March 31, 2000.---Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Morrison Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Clarence Bishop, formerly the minister of Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens.Mr. Bray was born in Hugoton, Kan., and had lived in Moore County since 1927. He served with the Navy and retired from the city of Dumas after more than 25 years. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church.He married Bonnie Alford in 1927 at Channing. She died in 1989. He was also preceded in death by two grandsons, and a great-grandson.Survivors include two sons, Bill Bray Jr. of Amarillo and Charles Bray of Fort Worth; four daughters, Pauline Gibbons of Jeanerette, La., Frances Stevens of Clarendon, Ruth Brooks of San Antonio, and Berna-Deen Lindsey of Mount Arlington, N.J.; a sister, Daisy Austin of Lubbock; 14 grandchildren; 28 greatgrandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.The family suggests memorials be to American Cancer Society, 211 Zauk, Dumas, TX 79029; or Alzheimer's Association of the Texas Panhandle, 2200 W.
