Joseph Hartman was born in Ohio, Dec. 17, 1846, coming to Burlington when he was a child. He was married 58 years ago to Edith Furrow, who died in April of last year. He was a retired stonemason. In addition to his widow, he is survived by five sons, Joe and William of Burlington, Arthur of Kansas City, Jesse of Carman, and Fred of Montrose, Ia.; two daughters, Mrs. Fred Franklin of Burlington and Mrs. Charles Anderson of Cicero, Ill., two sisters and one brother, 28 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at the Burnett-Wallen funeral home tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock, with burial in Aspen Grove cemetery. Rev. A. T. Browning will preside.
