Born in Williamson, W.V., he was a son of the late Cecil and Emma Canada Muncy. Raised in Pike County, he was a former truck driver with Brandeis, enjoyed fishing and was an Army veteran.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, James Cecil (Kim) Muncy of Blountville, Tenn.; stepsons, Morgan (Goldie) Powell, Yancy (Vera) Powell and Bill David West, all of Lexington; a brother, Joe (Ledna) Parsons; sisters, Alice Kinney and Mary (Larry) Young, both of Varney, Ky.; half-brother, Dale Muncy of California; and a half-sister, Betty Sue Gilliam of Florida; as well as nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday at Milward Funeral Home-Southland. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
