SHEALY SERVICES SET AT PACOLET, SC - School Superintendent Is Taken By Death After Brief Illness - Funeral services for Luther Floyd Shealy, superintendent of the Pacolet, SC Schools for the past 17 years, who died early yesterday morning in a Columbia, SC hospital, following a brief illness, will be conducted at 3 o'clock this afternoon in the auditorium of the Pacolet High School Officiating ministers will be the Revs. E. G. Clary, W. T. Tate and J. B. Harmon. Mr. Shealy was a graduate of the Newberry College in the class of 1924 and was a prominent individual in the civic and church life of Pacolet, SC. He was a member of the Pacolet Presbyterian Church and served as an elder in the Church for several years. He was a native of Lexington County, SC. During Mr. Shealy's term as superintendent of the Pacolet, SC Schools, much progress and improvements were made in the School system. His wife, the former Miss Lucy White, of Spartanburg, SC, survives with a son, Floyd, and a daughter, Ann. He also is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.L. Shealy of Newberry, SC; two sisters, Miss Katie Shealy of Pelzer, SC and Miss Ethel Shealy of Newberry, SC, and one brother, J.C. Shealy of Newberry, SC.
