Kittie Henderson Durham, 85, of Pine Bluff died Saturday, March 1, 2008, at her home in Pine Bluff.

She was born Feb. 20, 1923, in Grapevine, to William Edward and Carrie Blackerby Henderson.

She moved to the Pine Bluff area in 1924, and was reared and received her early education here, graduating from White Hall High School in 1940. She also attended Modern School of Business.

She had worked for several Insurance agencies, retiring in 1980.

Mrs. Durham was a member of Watson Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors are two daughters, Kathy Durham Reed of Pine Bluff, Grace Durham Kirkpatrick of Hope; one son, Robert Durham of Pine Bluff; three sisters, Mary Jane Grant of Silver Springs, Md., Murtie Long of Morris Town, Ind., and Ruth Henry of Pine Bluff; four grandchildren, Matthew Kirkpatrick of Greenville, Miss., Wesley Kirkpatrick of Tillar, Ark., Rob Reed of Lake Charles, La., and Laura Elizabeth Durham of Hot Springs; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Durham; a brother, Joe Henderson; and three sisters, Rose Strayer, Elta Reynolds, and Shirley Waymack.

Funeral services will be Thursday, March 6, 2008, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Mr. Don Henry officiating. Burial will be in Brown Cemetery, by Ralph Robinson and Son.

The family will receive friends at Robinson's Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church Children's Ministry , 5130 Bobo Road, Pine Bluff, Ark., 71602; or Calvary Baptist Church, 1301 West B Street, Hope, Ark., 71801.

Pallbearers will be Mat Kirkpatrick, Wes Kirkpatrick, Terry Kirkpatrick, Rob Reed, Brad Johnson and Sonny Davis.
