FRANKS, ISAAC L.
Calmly and peacefully his soul crossed the Great Divide and is now at rest in the Pearly White City waiting to welcome home his loved ones and friends.
Uncle Isaac, as he was often called, has left for us an example of a quiet Christian life, honest, and sincere in his dealings with others. He lived a life above reproach and never a word of profanity, but always a smile, a kind word, and a bit of cheer to help lighten the burdens of others.
He was born in Arkansas, March 14, 1852, in the home of his parents, Oliver and Cynthia Franks. Here he grew to manhood, uniting with the Methodist church at the age of twelve.
Ever after his deeds revealed the glory of Him who sent us, and never an act of his caused the wound in our Redeemer's side to be reopened.
On Feb 4, 1872, he chose for his helpmate Miss Louise Shipley endowed with every Christian Virtue, a devoted wife and mother [Lockhart Post Register, 14-7-32] - [Ed Note: FindaGrave gives his birthplace as Itawamba County, Mississippi, USA]
