Carl J. Moeller, 80, Batesville, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 1995 at his home in Batesville.

Born Dec. 9, 1914 in Hamburg, Ind., he was the son of Bernard and Mary (Bedel) Moeller. He married Mildred (Blankman) Moeller on Aug. 2, 1939 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Millhousen. She preceded him in death on Feb. 5, 1972. He was remarried to Sarah Laudick-Moeller on May 7, 1977 at St. Louis Church in Batesville. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Batesville.

He was a retired supervisor of the assembly department at Hill-Rom Co., where he worked from 1931 to 1981. He was a Fourth Degree Uniform Rank member of the Knights of St. John, a member of the Knights of Columbus Council at Batesville, and the Golden Senior Citizens Club of Batesville.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Laudick-Moeller; four sons, William J. Moeller of Oldenburg, Robert Moeller of Birmingham, Al., Gerald Moeller of Batesville, and Dale Moeller of Daly, Cal.; five daughters, Mary Beth Brinkman and Teresa Nobbe, both of Batesville, Margaret Larsen of San Antonio, Texas, Patricia Love of Louisville, Ky., and Kristina Crowe of Solsberry; two brothers, Paul Moeller of Trafalgar, Ind., and Wilbur Moeller of Indianapolis; two sisters, Rose Flodder and Gertrude Weisenbach, both of Batesville; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brenda Sue Vogelsang; and a brother, Joseph Moeller.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday at St. Louis Catholic Church with the Rev. Bill Farris officiating.

Burial will be in St. Louis Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday at the Weigel Funeral Home in Batesville. Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Brenda Sue Vogelsang Scholarship Fund or the Alzheimer Foundation.
