Walter E. Dolan - Camas
A Navy veteran of World War II, Walter 'Walt' Earl Dolan died Thursday, March 14, 2002, at home. He was 75.
Mr. Dolan, who graduated from Colorado State University, worked for the Army Corps of Engineers. He mainly worked on Bonneville Dam's second powerhouse. He retired in 1986.
Mr. Dolan was born May 9, 1926, in Montrose, Colo., and lived in Camas for the past 23 years.
A member of the Camas Lions Club and Orchard Hills Golf Club, he enjoyed golfing and traveling.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Mary, at home; one daughter, Susan Dolan of Vancouver; three sons, Michael of Seaside, Ore., David of Castle Rock and Tom of Washougal; one brother Kenneth of Denver; one sister, Wilma Butner of Howard, Colo.; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Camas. Straub's Funeral Home in Camas is in charge of arrangements.
