Rites Set for Lennie Bronte; Was Stoughton Resident

Stoughton - Funeral services for Lennie A. Bronte, 62, Route 1, Stoughton, who died unexpectedly Friday while hoeing tobacco on his farm, have been set for Monday.

He was pronounced dead upon arrival at a Stoughton hospital. Deputy coroner Ernest A. Ferchland said death was caused by a heart attack.

Mr. Bronte married the former Marion Freudenberg of Cottage Grove on Dec. 10, 1925. Her farmed in the Town of Pleasant Springs and was an employee of the U.S. Rubber Co. in Stoughton for 16 years, retiring in 1967.

He was a member of the West Koshkonong Lutheran Church.

Surviving in Madison are a daughter, Mrs. Marvin E. Anderson, 4929 Winnequah Rd., and two sisters, Mrs. Hilma Peterson, 151 W. Gilman St., and Miss Gladys Bronte, 223 S. Mills St.

Other survivors include his wife and three sons, Lennie L., Stoughton, Eldon, Stoughton, David, Oronoco, Minn., a brother, Lewis, Stoughton and 12 grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the West Koshkonong Lutheran church, with the Rev. Gerald Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the Holzhuter Funeral Home, Stoughton.
