Stoughton - Marion I. Bronte, age 84, passed away on Friday, May 27, 1994 at her home. She was born on April 18, 1910 in Cottage Grove, the daughter of John and Laura (Uphoff) Freudenberg. Marion married Lennie Bronte on December 10, 1925. They spent time farming in the town of Pleasant Springs until Lennie died on July 11, 1969. She worked at the N & I Restaurant for 10 years, retiring because of poor health. She moved to Stoughton in 1976. Marion was a member of West Koshkonong Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid, Mary Circle and the Homemakers. She is survived by a daughter, Eunice (Marvin) Anderson of Stougton; three sons, Lennie L. (Elsa) Bronte of Stoughton. Eldon (Irene) Bronte of Stoughton and David (Shirley) Bronte of Oronoco, Minnesota; 16 grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and a sister, Edith Klein of Madison. She was preceded in death by a son Robert; a grandson, Steven Anderson; three brothers, Clarence, Stanley and Roger; and a sister, Iva Means. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 1994 at West Koshkonong Lutheran Church. Reverend Roger Black will officiate. Interment will be at West Koshkonong Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, May 30, 1994 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
