Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Burton Shelton, age 93, of Petersburg conducted at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Justin Hill officiating. Burial in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Shelton passed away at home on Sunday night January 10th.
She was the daughter of the late Hiles Blyth and Johnnie Laws Burton.
Mrs. Shelton was retired from Petersburg Manufacturing, was a cook at Oakwood Hall Nursing Home and was a member of the 1st Church of the Nazerine.
She is survived by two sons, Lewis Tucker of Frankewing and Douglas Tucker of Petersburg, three daughters Geraldine Reed of Fayetteville, Linda Neal of Fayetteville and Mamie Boyce of Shelbyville, sisters Clyda Sisk of Fayetteville, Jimmie Grimes of Fayetteville and Frankie Craft of Fayetteville, 16 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son Jimmy Tucker.
