Mrs. Effie Reid Akerman, 83, of 838 Heard Ave., entered into rest at 12:20 a.m., Sunday, January 14, 1968, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Randolph Kowalski officiating. Burial will be in Westover Memorial Park. She was the widow of the late Dr. Joseph Akerman. Pallbearers will be William Berry, Henry Brunkhurst, Bill Brunkhurst, Barry Whitney, Frank Clark, Sheppard Clark and William D. Eve. Elliott Sons.
