Final rites will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock for Mrs. Cordie Estell Thurman, of 608 California Street, Borger.
Twenty years old, Mrs. Thurman died Saturday morning at 7:35 o'clock in the North Plains Hospital. She has been a resident of Borger for the last year and a half.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. C.T. Aly, pastor of the Phillips Baptist Church, in the Blackburn-Shaw-Brown Chapel. Interment will be in the local cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Bennie Lee Thurman Jr.; a daughter, Shirley Yvonne; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Matthews of Chillicothe, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Turvaville, of Chillicothe, and five brothers, Osbie Matthews of Matador; Clarence, Amos and Joe Matthews, of Chillicothe, and Carl Matthews, who is in Korea with the U.S. Army.
