YOUNGSTOWN – Thomas W Barnhouse, 49, of 1529 Medford Avenue, was pronounced dead on arrival at 7:07 p.m. Thursday at Southside Hospital here.
He was born March 27, 1928, in East Palestine, the son of Leonard Barnhouse and the late Myrtle Butler Barnhouse. He had resided in Youngstown for 11 years, moving from East Palestine. He was employed by the Youngstown Steel Door Co. for eight years.
He is survived by his wife, the former Donna Jean Biggins; his father of Del Rio, Texas; three sons, Ronald W. Barnhouse of Youngstown, Robert L. Barnhouse of Rogers and Bradley T Barnhouse at home; a daughter, Mrs. Trudy E Nelson of East Palestine; seven brothers, Alfred Barnhouse in Pennsylvania, Dale Barnhouse of Rogers, Charles, Clyde and Earl Barnhouse, all in California, Arthur Barnhouse of Beaver Falls, Pa., and Lawrence Barnhouse of Del Rio, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Emma Hazelwood of East Palestine, and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home in East Palestine with the Rev. Alan Hutchinson of the United Presbyterian Church of Petersburg officiating. Burial will be in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in Rogers. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
