STAR CITY – Nute Gibson, 73, of Star City, died Friday at his home. A son of Jim and Julia Strickland Gibson, he was a member of Primitive Baptist Church here.
Survivors include his wife. Corean Gibson; a son. Jimmy McBryde of Portland. Oregon, three daughters. Kaye Paschal of Portland, Cheryl Owes of Star City and Carolyn Wark of Waverly, Iowa; two brothers, Travis Gibson and Ed Gibson of the Coleman community (Drew County), two sisters. Myrtle Mauney of Dumas and Mattie Youngblood of the Florence community (Drew County). 15 grandchildren, and us
great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10 am today in Pleasant Springs Cemetery near here, with Elders Woodrow Hudson and George Jones officiating. Griffin Funeral Home of Star City is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will he Clemit Phillips, Bobby Smith, Charlie Baggett, Bob Osburn, Harry McGee, and John Milburn.
