Daughter of Miles and Ella Spath Moyer. She attended country school and Scribner High School. On July 19, 1941, she married James Parr in Scribner. The couple lived there where Arlene worked at the school in the kitchen and driving the handicap van. She also worked at Lee's Market in Scribner, retiring in the early 1990's. In 2003 she moved to assisted living.
Arlene was a member of United Lutheran Church American Legion Auxiliary and a neighborhood extension club. Arlene will be remembered as a loving person and one who cared tirelessly for her daughter.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James, in 1994, daughter, Ronda Parr, in 2005, and a grandson, Jared Streeter, in 1980, her twin sister, Darlene Bossow, and brothers Galen and Gerald Moyer.
