Manning -- Ida Z. Manning born December 25, 1919 passed away peacefully, Saturday, December 22, 2001 surrounded by family. She is now with the Lord and her beloved husband, Ernest who passed away in August 2001. Ida was born in Socorro, New Mexico. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Russell and husband, Bob; grandson, Michael Van Sickler and wife, Sabrina; granddaughter, Kimberly Wolfe and husband, Jody; and grandsons, Glen Russell, Ron Russell, great-grandchildren, Tyler Martin, Brittany Wolfe, Kaylee Van Sickler, Jasmine Russell and Ava Russell. Ida also leaves behind sisters, Pauline Baca of Socorro, Gertrude Archuleta of Albuquerque; and brother, Albert Zimmerly of Socorro; and many nieces and nephews who will dearly miss her. Ida retired from Southern Union Gas Company-PNM in 1984. She was a gifted craft person and loved her doll collection. She was devoted to her family and also making sure they were taken care of. She had many friends. Ida has now joined her loving husband whom she dearly missed. They have both left behind many loving memories for their family and friends. Rosary will be Wednesday 7:00 p.m. December 26, 2001 in the Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave SE. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday December 27, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, with Fr. Jim Suntum, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Shorty Vaiza, Warren Flood, Craig Chavez, Johnny Zimmerly, Steve Zimmerly, and Max Zimmerly serving as pallbearers. Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. is in charge of arrangements.
