Sunday at 2 p.m. final rites were said for Miss Julia Marveline Mooney, age 23, who passed away in Winnfield Saturday afternoon. Miss Mooney, who had a severe case of asthma, had been a patient in and out of a local clinic since last May. After leaving the hospital Saturday she collapsed outside and was returned to the hospital where she died shortly from a heart attack, according to her physician.

Services were held at the Dodson Methodist Church with the Rev. Luther L. Booth, pastor of the Winnfield Methodist Church, and Rev. Harold W. Buchanan, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Burial was in the New Hope Cemetery.

Miss Mooney was born and reared in Dodson and was a graduate of the Dodson High School. She was employed in Winnfield.

Survivors are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hooper Mooney, two sisters, Mrs. Tracy Carpenter, Natchitoches, and Mrs. Bill Waldron, Ruston; three brothers, Billy of San Diego, Calif., navy, Benny and Buddy of Dodson.
