JONESBORO — Funeral services for Harper Mooney, 82, of Dodson were at 2 p.m. today in Edmonds Memorial Funeral Home Chapel here with the Rev. Kim Lawson officiating.

Burial was in New Hope Cemetery near Gaars Mill for Mr. Mooney who died at 6:55 a.m. Tuesday in Winnfield General Hospital.

Mr. Mooney was a member of the Masonic Lodge, 32nd Scottish Rites, the El Karuba Shriners and the Disabled American Veterans.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Arah Mooney of Dodson; three sons, Buddy Mooney of Goldonna, William E. Mooney of Sheridan, Ark. and Benjamin Mooney of Winnfield; two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Waldron of Simsboro and Mrs. Maxine Carpenter of Goldonna; one sister, Miss Elsie Mooney of Winnfield; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
