John Albert Clark

John was born May 6, 1914, in Eureka, Utah, to Guy Albert and Hazel Maudella "Della" Jones Clark. In 1920, when he was six years old, his family lived in Silver Plume, Colorado, where his father was mining silver. By the age of 16, they were living in Kootenai County, Idaho, and he had five siblings at that time: Hazel, Leroy, June, Earl and Bert.

On February 9, 1933, John married Vera Anelia Butler in Provo, Utah; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple June 19, 1951. Their love created a marriage of 33 years. Together, they had seven children: Sharlene, Kenneth Albert, Earl Leroy, Gloria, Steve Elvin, Blaine Edward and Alan Jeffrey. Their family had many interesting times and adventurous travels that took them to various parts of California and Utah before settling in Provo, Utah, in 1952. Vera passed from this life November 29, 1968.

On June 26, 1969, John married Isla Maie Ervin Henderson in the Salt Lake Temple. They loved each other and shared many wonderful years together.

A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, John was also a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a hard worker at his various occupations, among them: American Foundry and Machine Company as well as Geneva Steel. In his free time, he could be found fishing at Strawberry Reservoir; he loved to fish! He is very much loved and missed by his large family and friends.

Following a long battle with cancer, John Albert Clark passed from this life December 7, 1982.
