Mr. Hostetter was born March 27, 1944, in York, the was the son of the late Walter, Sr. and Alverta (Crone) Hostetter.
He was a manufacturing engineer with York International (now Johnson Controls) for 30 years and then worked for the Newark Paper Board Co.; a graduate of Dallastown H.S. Class of '62 and had also attended William Penn H.S.; had an associates degree in Manufacturing Engineering and Tool & Dye Maker from Penn State York; member of St. Stephens U.C.C.; life member of the Girard A.A., Yankee A.A., Vigilant Social Club, Rooster Club and the Victory A.A.; member of the Laurel, Rex, Vigilant and Eagle Fire Companies, the York Fireman's Relief Association and the York International 25 Year Club. He enjoyed hunting, was an avid golfer and a Green Bay Packers fan.
Mr. Hostetter is survived by his wife; a daughter, Kimberly A. and husband. Arthur 'Oss' Harman of York; two grandchildren, Arthur H. Harman and Nicole L. Harman; and a brother, Wilson N. Hostetter of York. He was preceded in death by a son, Walter Hostetter III; a brother, Frank Hostetter; and a sister, Judy Fetrow.
Burial will follow in Dover Bethany Cemetery.
