Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Morrill with Reverend Ralph Morris officiating. Interment will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Morrill.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society . Please designate to either the Leukemia Foundation or the Breast Cancer Foundation.

Dorothy was born April 28, 1924, in Morrill, to Howard and Eva (Parberry) Cooley. She grew up in the Sunflower-Dutch Flats area. She graduated from Scottsbluff High School. Dorothy married Victor Bauer Nov. 1, 1942, in Torrington, Wyo. She and Victor farmed for many years north of Morrill. Dorothy loved to garden and sing. She was very artistic, wrote poetry and had a special love for animals, especially dogs. Along with working on the farm, she was also a cook at the Morrill Café and Henry Café.
Dorothy was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Morrill and loved to sing in the choir. She was a past member of the Rebekkah Lodge.
Survivors include her husband, Victor; children, Janice (Ron) Stuckert of Lingle, Wyo., Steve (Nona) Bauer of Torrington, and Judi (Fred) Ruff, Jr. of Fort Morgan, Colo.; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and sister, Marilyn (Mervyn) Gompert.
Her parents, sister Hazel, brother Charles, daughter Sharon, and son Tom preceded her in death.
