Mrs. Jesse (Julia Ann) Paxson, of Detroit, Mich., whose serious illness has been mentioned in the Review, died at her home in Detroit, Friday evening, the result of rheumatism and paralysis.

Mrs. Paxson was a former resident of Alliance, living with her family when here at the corner of Arch avenue and Columbia street, where the Col. W. W. King residence now stands. Her early married life was spent in New Chambersburg. She came to Alliance with her family at the close of the civil war and remained here until about twelve years ago. Mrs. Paxson was a christian lady and attended the United Brethren church. She was a most devoted mother.

Her husband, Jesse Paxson, died in Alliance a number of years ago. The deceased is survived by the following children: Mrs. Harry (Nora) Minter, of Cleveland; Mrs. Julian (Cora) Shaub and Glenwood Paxson, of Detroit, Mich. Also a grandson, Howard Shaub, of Detroit. Mrs. Joseph (Aewilda) Urig and Fannie B. Paxson, of Alliance, are nieces. Mrs. John (Rebecca) Milligan, of Toledo, is a sister.
