He was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy, to whom he was married in 1911. They farmed in Kansas until 1938 when they moved to Missouri. In 1946 they made their home in Prosser where they engaged in farming. He was employed at the Hanford Project.
Mr. Gordon, who was a member of the First Baptist Church, was also preceded in death by two sons, Orville in 1934 and Willis in 1969.
He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. J. C. (Minnie) Shadwick of Prosser, Mrs. Elvin (Marguerite)Hunt of Spokane, WA, Mrs. Doyle (Pearl Etta)Gunter of W. Richland, Mrs. Huston (Thelma Maxine) Bratcher of Prosser and Mrs. Thomas (Lona Belle)Burrows of Benton City; two sons, Claude of Zillah and Kenneth of Benton City, 45 grandchildren and 67 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at Smith Funeral Home in Grandview April 2nd and burial at East Prosser Cemetery in Prosser. Pators Paul White and J. R. L. Haslem, retired of the First Baptist Church officiated.
Pallbearers were Wayne Noval, Arnold McKeen, Ray Rea, Jim Gore, J. C. Conatser and Al Rowe.
Mrs. Shirley Mackey sang "How Great Thou Art" and "The Lord is my Shepherd". She was accompanied by Mrs. Alene Crouter.
