Mrs. Gordon was born in Beaumont, Kansas. She and Earl C. Gordon were married in 1911 in Larned, Kansas, where they farmed until 1938. They moved to Missouri and farmed there until coming to Washington in 1946. Gordon worked at the Hanford project and farmed.
Mrs. Gordon was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors beside her husband included two sons, Claude of Zilla, WA and Kenneth of Benton City, WA; five daughters, Mrs. J. C. (Minnie)Shadwick and Mrs. Hutson (Thelma Maxine)Bratsher, both of Prosser, Mrs. Elvis (Marguerite)Hunt of Spokane, Wa, Mrs. Doyle (Peal Etta)Gunter of W. Richland and Mrs. W. Thomas (Lena Belle)Burruss of Benton City; 45 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Orville Preston of Burton, Kansas, John Preston of Chula Vista California, and George Preston of Hutchinson, Kansas, and a sister, Mrs. Buela Artz of Richmond, CA.
